When people first go on safari, often the animals that they are most keen to see are the predators, especially lions and leopards. Having the opportunity to get close to these magnificent animals - sometimes very close - is something you can never forget. Whether they are hunting or resting (something they do quite a lot of the time) they are stunning. It is not just the sight of them that captures your attention, it is the sound too. Hearing a lion roaring close by is a visceral experience.
